Grapes, also called ‘queen of fruits’ grow as bunches on vines. It is mostly eaten raw or in the form of juice, jam, jelly, vinegar, wine, candy, raisins and grape seed oil. Grapes can be yellow, green, black and dark blue. Dry grapes is called ‘raisin’ or ‘currant’ or ‘sultana’.
Grapes are mostly grown for the preparation of wine. But they are also used to make jams, jelly, juice, etc.
Grapes are rich in flavonoids and that is why grapes have purple colour. The stronger the colour, higher the flavonoid content. Grapes are a perfect source of antioxidants.

1. Querciton and rigvertol present in grapes is good for the heart.
2. Grape juice has nitric oxide which helps blood colt and controls the silted particles in blood.
3. Peel of black grapes is found to reduce risk of cancer.
