        Lemon or ‘limbu’ is being used so commonly in our daily diet that every one knows about it. It tastes sour and is a good preservative. Lemon is used in so many dishes like juice, pickle, sauce, soup, salad, etc.
        Lemon is rich in nutrients especially vitamin C.
Benefits:
1.    Jaundice: Add juice of one lemon to one glass of sugarcane juice twice a day.
2. Liver: Mix one table spoon of juice from papaya seeds with 10 drops of fresh lime juice. Drink this mixture once or twice daily for one month.
3. Acidity: Add lemon juice to one glass of warm water and drink.
4. Drinking lemon juice daily will give enough vitamin C which is necessary for the absorption of iron.
5. Take 1tsp of groundnut oil and mix with 1tsp of lime juice and apply to face to prevent formation of blackheads.
6. Body heat: Soak lime tree leaves in sour milk. Add this to previous day rice, add very little salt and eat it to reduce body heat.
7. Nose bleeding: If the nose is bleeding due to body heat, just put a few drops of lemon into the nostril.
8. Body odour: Mix soda with lemon juice and rub on underarms. You can even apply lemon juice on underarms right after a bath.
9. Dandruff: Apply lemon juice to the base of the hair and take bath after 10 minutes.
10. Vomiting: Sucking a lemon cures vomiting sensation. This trick is used by people who get vomiting sensation during travel.
11. Painful/irregular periods: Add cinnamon powder to lime juice and drink daily.
