Cataloupe or ‘turbuja’ is a melon type fruit with an orange coloured flesh. It is mostly eaten raw but also made into juice, ice cream, fruit salad, dessert, etc. It is common to find the bacteria salmonella on the outer skin of cantaloupe and hence it must be washed nicely before cutting.
Benefits:
1. Cataloupe has vitamin A and beta carotene. Both are good for the eye.
2. Cataloupe also has vitamin C, vitamin B6, potassium, folate and peachu to give you plenty of energy.
3. Cataloupe juice is a very cooling drink for a hot summer.
